JOB DESCRIPTION
The Solution Architect will act as Scrum Master and Innovation Lead for our Customer Engagement Platform agile teams (2 teams). He will guide teams and stakeholders on Scrum/Agile principles and best practices for the two main teams of our platform. He will additionally drive Innovation initiatives to facilitate the creation of Proof of Value concepts and showcase initiatives when value is proven.

A typical day will include leading Scrum ceremonies, ensure clear team backlog, monitor team progress, remove impediments and promote collaboration between agile team members.

This person has experience as a Scrum master, and he understands how to prioritize business value items in team’s backlog.

The Solution Architect will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. They will also collaborate closely with our Product Owners in backlog management.
This person will coach and guide a self-organizing development team, ensuring Agile best practices are followed to deliver business value efficiently.

The role will include day-to-day collaboration and discussions with our software engineers, business stakeholders, Product Owner, as well as with leadership and Agile community teams.


 
  1. Primary Accountabilities / Job Scopes & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and contains actionable items.
  • Establish, track, and communicate Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts and sprint progress.
  • Proactively remove impediments to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Guide and support the development team in effective agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Reviews, Retrospectives).
  • Support Product Owners in backlog management and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: including front-end and front-end engineers, technical platform team, UI COE (center of excellence, testing COE, integration COE, product managers, and tech leadership) to organize sprints for new features and enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to team agreements, including Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, and Working Agreements.
  • Support sprint and release planning and readiness, and cutover planning where applicable.
  • Contribute to company agile community initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement and team maturity using data-driven insights.
  • Ensure collaboration between development, business, Product Owners and other additional key stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with agile frameworks and best practices.
  • Drive Innovation initiatives acting as Project Manager to facilitate the creation of Proof of Value concepts and showcase initiatives when value is proven.
 
  1. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ of hands-on experience in Scrum Master role, supporting the delivery of complex software development environment.
  • Knowledge of Scrum or similar Agile methodologies (SAFe is a plus).
  • Strong EQ (emotional intelligence) - highly collaborative with both tech and business stakeholders
  • Proven experience coaching teams and stakeholders in agile methodology.
  • Proficient in Scrum Methodology, Agile frameworks, and Agile mindset.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, distributed environment with high expectations.
  • Eager to learn, understand and improve various aspects of product delivery and team dynamics.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills to mentor, motivate, and inspire development teams.
  • Preference to work in an agile development environment and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working with global teams in multiple time zones.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience in one of the following industries: transportation management, supply chain management, logistics.
  • Experience in SAFe methodology.
  • SAFe or other Agile methodologies certifications.
  • Scrum Master certification.
  • Technical background and/or experience as a Software Engineer is an asset.
