About the Role: As part of the Business Applications Services (BAS) Tribe, our mission is to deliver and continuously enhance critical business platforms including Ordering, Billing, Finance, and Provisioning, while modernizing our on-premise and cloud technology landscape.
We are now entering the next phase of this transformation journey and are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) to lead a multi-year, enterprise-wide security transformation program. This role will focus on planning and driving the migration toward quantum-safe cryptographic standards, aligned with evolving industry and regulatory guidelines.
You will work closely with Tribe Leadership, Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and Cybersecurity Partners, coordinating cross-functional teams across Belgium and Malaysia. This role suits a hands-on Project Manager who is passionate about security, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, and who thrives in a dynamic, international, and agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Program Management
- Define and own the PQC program roadmap, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
- Track progress, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Drive execution of a multi-year cryptographic transition initiative.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and all squads within the BAS Tribe.
- Coordinate with internal cybersecurity teams and external security partners.
- Act as the central point of contact for PQC-related initiatives across the Tribe.
- Stay current with NIST recommendations and other relevant industry standards for post-quantum cryptography.
- Ensure project plans and execution align with emerging quantum-safe security requirements.
- Identify risks related to cryptographic migration, system compatibility, and operational impact.
- Define and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
- Establish and enable a PQC community of practice within the Tribe.
- Provide clear, regular status updates and reporting to Tribe Leadership.
- Maintain structured project documentation, decisions, and artifacts.
- Manage allocated budgets and ensure effective resource utilization.
- Balance priorities across multiple workstreams while maintaining delivery focus.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in IT Project Management, preferably within cybersecurity, cryptography, or security-driven programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) are an advantage.
- Solid understanding of cryptographic concepts, protocols, and post-quantum security challenges.
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira and MS Project.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, international, and cross-cultural environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Passion for continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
