About the role: We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive Virtualization & Storage Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the setup, maintenance, optimization, and monitoring of virtualized platforms and enterprise storage systems. The ideal candidate should bring hands-on expertise in VMware, Nutanix, and HPE storage technologies, and be capable of supporting high-availability environments with enterprise-scale requirements.

About the role: We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive Virtualization & Storage Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the setup, maintenance, optimization, and monitoring of virtualized platforms and enterprise storage systems. The ideal candidate should bring hands-on expertise in VMware, Nutanix, and HPE storage technologies, and be capable of supporting high-availability environments with enterprise-scale requirements.
Responsibilities:
Virtualization:
- Manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter (version 7 and above), and VMware HA Clusters.
- Set up VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter environments from scratch.
- Work in Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments, including Nutanix Prism Element, Prism Central, and AHV.
- Deploy and manage virtual machines in VMware and Nutanix environments.
- Administer network virtualization components like vSwitches, port groups, and VLANs.
- Provide support and administration for Mobile Device Management (Workspace One) and Citrix.
- Basic knowledge of email archiving solutions is an added advantage.
- Design and enforce policies and procedures for storage provisioning, uptime, compliance, and data protection.
- Configure, maintain, and support enterprise SAN systems including HPE Alletra, HPE 3PAR, HPE Nimble, and HPE MSA.
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and housekeeping for SAN storage systems.
- Manage LUN presentation, virtual storage pools, disk groups, and RAID configurations.
- Administer SAN switches including troubleshooting and zoning.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Deliver holistic solutions to enhance business continuity and ensure data security and integrity.
- Respond to incident and task tickets promptly, documenting resolutions in knowledge base articles.
- Proactively monitor system performance and plan upgrades to meet SLA and growth projections.
- Deploy physical and virtual desktop environments across various business functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for the deployment and troubleshooting of end-user solutions.
- Ensure user satisfaction through effective issue resolution aligned with company policy.
- Work with global IT teams to support and implement business-driven technology solutions.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and initiatives as required.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role involving virtualization and enterprise storage systems.
- Strong independent problem-solving capabilities and ability to work across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive mindset, and a strong “can-do” attitude.
- Effective communication in English (both written and verbal).
- Experience working in a multi-national and fast-paced environment.
