Senior ColdFusion Developer

About the role: We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile ColdFusion Developer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, integrating with databases, APIs, and front-end interfaces. You should have a strong background in software development, database architecture, and modern web technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable ColdFusion-based web applications.
  • Maintain and enhance existing ColdFusion applications to improve functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs, services, and enterprise databases.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful web services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
  • Perform code reviews, optimize application performance, and enforce best practices.
  • Document application architecture, code, and logic clearly.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe ColdFusion (CFML).
  • Strong experience in ColdFusion 10/11/2016 or later.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap.
  • Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Good understanding of MVC frameworks (e.g., ColdBox, Fusebox, FW/1).
  • Version control systems experience (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and server management.
  • Exposure to other backend languages (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python) is a plus.
