About the role: We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Technical Lead to drive the modernization of our container platform, with a key focus on the migration from OpenShift v3 to v4. This role is critical in ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable delivery of banking applications on Red Hat OpenShift, aligned with industry regulations and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the migration from OpenShift v3 to v4, ensuring minimal downtime and full compliance with internal security and audit requirements.
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade OpenShift v4 clusters to host mission-critical banking applications.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to modernize legacy systems into containerized microservices.
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and automated deployment strategies using tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Helm.
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance policies (PCI DSS, SOX, etc.) within the container platform.
- Provide leadership and guidance on OpenShift architecture, operations, and best practices tailored for the financial industry.
- Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and capacity of the OpenShift platform.
- Work with audit and compliance teams to ensure ongoing regulatory alignment and risk management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure or DevOps, preferably in banking or financial services.
- 3+ years of experience with OpenShift (v3 and v4) including hands-on migration experience from v3 to v4.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, container security, and network policies.
- Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Tekton, or GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on regulatory-compliant architectures.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks and financial compliance standards (PCI DSS, SOX, CIS Benchmarks).
- Proficient in Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Skilled in monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch).
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Cloud and security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified, CISSP, PCI Professional)
