JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview:
As the engineering lead for Lending, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain our loan origination, loan management, collection system. You will play crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our lending infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of retail and SME lending system.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and availability of the lending systems.
  • Implements best practices for software development, code reviews and continuous integration / continuous deployment(CI/CD) like Jenkins.
  • Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and address technical debt, ensuring the long-term maintainability and stability of the systems
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the engineering team
  • Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an engineering lead or in a similar leadership role within the financial service industry.
  • Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in NextJs, Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Kafka and microservices architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit and collection domain, and related technologies e.g. CCRIS, Experian etc.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements is a plus
  • Experience with cloud platform e.g. AWS is a plus.
