Job Summary: This hiring is for a Test Automation Engineer position, focused on enhancing quality through automated testing and supporting our continuous integration efforts. This role will focus on driving quality through test automation and DevOps practices across our squads. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in automated testing (UI/API), be passionate about continuous improvement, and ready to collaborate within a fast-paced agile environment.
Candidate is expected to increase the test automation coverage (automating new test cases) and fix failed automated tests in the team. This includes implementing DevOps enhancements for the squads on Cloudbees, Grafana (eg. test pipelines). Product knowledge training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop and/or control the development of test specifications/test cases/ sets of regression tests, new and enhanced software release of applications in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Lead the development of test automation framework and CI/CD pipelines integration.
  • Develop and maintain test and automation strategy.
  • Prepare and study the technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed automation solutions.
  • Propose and create procedures that help to find errors existing in the product and execute test cases/regression tests to ensure minimal discrepancy between specified and implemented functions.
  • Maintain/support/troubleshoot the testing infrastructure.
  • Participate in requirements/design reviews to ensure testability and become acquainted with new products enhancements
  • Analyse problems, develop and propose solutions to more senior team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and provide guidance to more junior team members.
  • Provide coaching and training to more junior team members based in KL/BE.
  • Provide timing/scheduling estimates to team leader and propose corrective actions to time lines when necessary
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with solutions delivery peers and other IT Delivery partners.
  • Demonstrate customer centricity by working closely together with the internal customer.

Requirement:
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 8 years of experience in testing.
  • 7+ years practical experience with Automation tools (Selenium or Robot Framework).
  • Experience working in Agile Team and Agile Testing Methodology (BDD).
  • Experience with Agile Tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Github)
  • Deep understanding in Agile Software Cycle.
  • Good experience with Windows and Linux (day-to-day operations).
  • Experience working with one of the following databases: Oracle, SAP, SQL Server.
  • Knowledge in API testing tools : Postman, ReadyAPI or SoapUI
  • Knowledge and experience in DevOps tools and adoption – Jenkins/Cloudbees, Openshift, Docker, Grafana etc
  • Experience in security testing tools – CIS-CAT, BURP (Nice to have)
  • Adaptability and responsive to change.

  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
