Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Data Engineer to join our team. As the Senior Technical Data Engineer???????, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design data pipelines, and drive the evolution of our data architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business insights.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong technical foundation in software development in enterprise environment. You will be responsible for design, develop, test, deliver and support for large-scale data pipelines with big data technologies such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Kafka etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work through all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Write clean code and apply industry best practices.
  • Review designs, code, unit test and technical documentation created by other engineers.
  • Analyze problems, develop, and propose solutions.
  • Prepare and study the technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and improve with each other.
  • Provide timing/scheduling estimates to product owner and propose corrective actions to timelines when necessary.
  • Organize an efficient handover through high quality documentation and training.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7+ years of software development experience in an (preferably) international setting.
  • Experience in one of the programming languages (Java or Python) and have good understanding of OOPS.
  • Experience in Relational Database (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) or NoSQL Databases.
  • Working Experience in API benchmarking with tools such as JMeter, Postman
  • Familiarity or experience with data ingestion with big data technologies (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana and Kafka) will be added advantage.
  • Familiarity or experience with SOA technologies such as micro-services, REST, SOAP is a plus.
  • Familiarity or experience with CICD development & deployment tools such as Ansible, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Git, Docker and OpenShift container platform is a plus.
  • Exposure to various OS platforms such as Window, Linux.
  • Practical working experience in an Agile driven team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with local and remote teams in different time zones.
  • DevOps principal model including support and maintenance on product delivery.
