Responsibilities

• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to create interactive prototypes that help validate ideas and support user research.
• Build code-based and AI-assisted prototypes that translate concepts into practical, testable experiences.
• Recommend the right prototyping approach and level of fidelity based on project goals and user needs.
• Work with engineering teams to support a clean transition from prototype to production.
• Identify recurring patterns, gaps, and opportunities within the design system and share thoughtful recommendations with the core team.
• Guide teams on practical use of AI across ideation, content creation, prototyping, design-to-code, and documentation.
• Design and refine repeatable AI-enabled workflows that can be used in real project environments.
• Create reusable assets such as prompt libraries, templates, and workflow configurations.
• Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, accessibility, brand alignment, and maintainability.
• Evaluate tools and workflow options based on fit, security, cost, and integration needs.
• Connect documentation, design files, tokens, and code through APIs, integrations, and modern workflow methods to reduce manual effort.
• Lead workshops, demos, office hours, and enablement sessions to help teams adopt design system and AI practices effectively.
• Create practical guides and playbooks that support consistent use of design system assets and standards.

Skills

• 6–10+ years of front-end engineering experience with a strong focus on UI development.
• Hands-on experience working with enterprise-scale design systems.
• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience building and maintaining React component libraries in production environments.
• Solid understanding of design tokens, theming, and scalable component architecture.
• Experience integrating design systems with Figma and modern handoff workflows.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, including WCAG and ADA.
• Experience with modern tooling such as Storybook, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI tools in design or engineering workflows, or the ability to clearly explain their use and tradeoffs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across design and engineering teams.
• Self-directed approach with the ability to drive initiatives forward independently.
• Strategic mindset and confidence in recommending solutions and influencing direction.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting multiple platforms, products, or CMS ecosystems.
• Experience using AI in regulated enterprise environments with attention to privacy and responsible use.
• Experience building prompt libraries, workflow templates, or automation assets.
• Experience leading pilots for new tools or workflow integrations.
• Ability to simplify complex technical topics for different audiences.
• Experience helping teams adopt shared standards and best practices across a larger organization.
