This role combines deep technical contribution, architecture leadership, and team guidance to deliver scalable solutions that support portfolio management and trading.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain secure APIs and backend services with strong monitoring and logging practices.
  • Develop engaging user interfaces using modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Support AWS-based infrastructure and related services, including serverless and containerized components.
  • Help manage CI/CD pipelines and automate delivery processes to improve team efficiency and release quality.
  • Own application operations and production readiness, including review and approval of changes before deployment.
  • Partner with business, product, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions and delivery plans.
  • Work with external platform vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, improve integrations, and enhance functionality.
  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and collaboration support to a distributed team across locations and time zones.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that advance engineering excellence, scalability, and modernization efforts.

Skills

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with full stack development using JavaScript, React or Angular, and one or more backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, .NET, or Python.
  • Solid SQL skills and experience working with data-driven applications.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS architecture and services such as Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Glue, ECS, and RDS.
  • Experience building and integrating APIs in production environments.
  • Background with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional delivery in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in asset management, investment banking, or wealth management.
  • Familiarity with front-office systems and workflows such as OMS, PMS, and risk platforms.
  • Exposure to ETF platforms and fund lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, event-driven architecture, or data engineering patterns.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines, or performance attribution systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
