We’re looking for an experienced Business Applications Manager to lead the strategy, support, and continuous improvement of a diverse portfolio of business systems across multiple locations. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, improving processes, and helping teams use technology more effectively every day.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of business applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial, operational, reporting, and productivity tools.
- Build and maintain an application roadmap that supports business goals and growth.
- Partner with department leaders to understand needs, translate requirements, and recommend practical solutions.
- Guide application governance, standards, and best practices to support consistency and efficiency.
- Manage configuration, maintenance, access controls, security, and overall application performance.
- Coordinate issue resolution and support with internal teams and external vendors.
- Lead application projects such as implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization efforts.
- Support testing, training, rollout planning, and change management to encourage strong adoption.
- Help improve data quality, reporting, analytics, and integrations between systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, service levels, licensing, and support arrangements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to application support staff, as applicable.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing enterprise business applications.
- Experience supporting systems such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Strong project management and business analysis abilities.
- Experience working with vendors and overseeing software implementations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and locations.
- Ability to balance priorities, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward.
- Commitment to customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, professional services, or a mid-market environment.
- Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and reporting tools.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, business intelligence tools, or cloud-based applications.
- Project management certification such as PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent.
- ITIL or similar service management experience.
- Comfort leading cross-functional conversations and supporting technology adoption.
