We’re looking for a Workplace Coordinator to help keep a busy San Francisco office running smoothly, safely, and with a strong sense of hospitality. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting employees, and partnering with vendors to create a welcoming workplace experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day office operations with external vendors, including deliveries, supplies, janitorial services, and maintenance support
- Respond to workplace service requests through a ticketing system in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner
- Troubleshoot and help resolve office issues such as equipment failures, restroom or plumbing concerns, and appliance problems
- Support minor repairs and coordinate larger repairs with the appropriate service providers
- Assist with emergency response efforts in collaboration with Security and other workplace partners
- Help maintain a safe, compliant, and comfortable office environment
- Set up furniture and workstations for meetings, events, and onsite team needs
- Support office moves, reconfigurations, restacks, and related workplace projects
- Contribute to office procedures, documentation, and workplace norms
- Partner closely with People Operations, Security, and vendors to support a positive employee experience
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in workplace coordination or building operations
- Working knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, elevators, plumbing, and lighting
- Experience managing vendors and coordinating maintenance or repair services
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear and empathetic communication skills, especially in fast-moving situations
- Ability to provide responsive, solution-oriented customer service
- Comfort handling hands-on tasks and minor maintenance work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting workplace projects in a multi-building or high-growth environment
- Background in preventive maintenance, office moves, or workplace program coordination
- Familiarity with food and beverage service or hospitality-focused environments
- Experience with permits, licenses, inspections, or code compliance
- Interest in supporting a mission-driven, innovative workplace
