We are seeking a Commissioning Owners Representative to support retro commissioning efforts across operational data center environments. This role provides oversight for electrical, mechanical, and controls systems testing and validation while coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing and validation activities for electrical and mechanical infrastructure in live data center facilities.
• Review as-built documentation, equipment submittals, and commissioning materials to confirm alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate and manage third-party commissioning vendors during onsite functional and integrated systems testing.
• Support planning, scheduling, and development of commissioning test scripts and related project documentation.
• Monitor commissioning activities to help ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Track and report project progress, metrics, and milestones to leadership using established reporting formats.
• Assist with managing multiple projects at once while helping maintain budget and schedule expectations.
• Identify technical issues, support resolution efforts, and contribute to ongoing program improvements through lessons learned.

Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in engineering, installation, startup, or commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or controls systems used in critical infrastructure.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, vendor submittals, and sequences of operations to understand design intent.
• Experience reviewing commissioning documents, including test plans, scripts, and reports for accuracy and alignment with requirements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay composed and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructure.
• Experience reading and editing construction documents such as drawings, control diagrams, and specifications.
• Familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools.
• Experience developing and executing test procedures based on design intent and approved submittals.
• Strong cross-functional coordination skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
