We’re looking for a Product Manager to help shape and deliver data products that support stores planning initiatives in a remote role based in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 3-month opportunity where you’ll partner across business, analytics, source-system, and data engineering teams to turn needs into clear requirements and drive delivery from discovery through adoption.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business, reporting, analytics, and technology teams to understand challenges and define data needs.
- Translate business and analytical requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized deliverables.
- Own and maintain the product backlog while balancing business value, dependencies, risk, and delivery timelines.
- Build a strong understanding of the data to help validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and confirm solutions meet user needs.
- Coordinate across source systems, data engineering, reporting, and product teams to manage cross-functional dependencies.
- Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early and communicate impacts clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support testing and validation efforts with engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure quality and usability.
- Help drive modernization and migration efforts to Google Cloud Platform, including transition of pipelines, datasets, and reporting capabilities.
- Communicate priorities, progress, decisions, and upcoming work in a clear and timely way to technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills
- Hands-on experience with Agile or Scrum delivery practices.
- Background in data product management or a similar data-focused product role.
- Strong understanding of data analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience working with data pipelines, ETL, or ELT processes.
- Ability to define data requirements and acceptance criteria with precision.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and investigation.
- Experience managing priorities and collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to data quality, completeness, timeliness, and usability.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with Looker or Power BI.
- Knowledge of metadata management concepts and practices.
- Experience supporting stores-related data or retail analytics.
- Comfort working in modernization or migration efforts.
- Ability to quickly learn complex business processes and translate them into actionable requirements.
