We’re looking for an Automation/SDET Test Engineer to help design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions that support high-quality software delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work on web and API automation, strengthen CI/CD testing practices, and contribute to reliable, scalable test coverage across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests across smoke, functional, integration, system, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Build and maintain regression test suites to help catch issues early and support stable releases.
• Create and improve automated test cases using a risk-based approach to maximize coverage of critical workflows.
• Develop UI automation for web applications and API automation for REST and SOAP services.
• Validate payloads, response codes, schema compliance, and contract behavior during API testing.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance Java-based automation scripts to keep solutions maintainable and reusable.
• Partner with developers, QA, and product teams to align automation efforts with business needs and acceptance criteria.
• Support test data preparation, peer reviews, reporting, and ongoing test result analysis.
• Help maintain test environments, automation infrastructure, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Contribute to defect tracking, retesting, and root cause analysis to support efficient issue resolution.
• Work with manual testers to identify opportunities for automation and support conversion of manual cases into automated scripts.
• Participate in deployment validation and release readiness activities as needed.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Java.
• Experience using Java Rest Assured for API automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in web UI and API test automation.
• Experience with test management tools such as Xray or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of software testing methods and quality assurance best practices.
• Ability to write, debug, and maintain clean automation code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UFT and VB scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
• Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience building reusable automation frameworks and libraries.
• Knowledge of test environment support and automation infrastructure.
• Exposure to a variety of enterprise tools, browsers, operating systems, and business applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience supporting secure environments with screening requirements and background verification processes.
