Join a fast-moving enterprise transformation initiative as a hands-on Junior Project Manager supporting a large Workday implementation. This remote role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping complex projects organized, coordinating across multiple teams, and turning plans into clear action.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrated project schedule, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
- Coordinate day-to-day work across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Security, Data, Change Management, and implementation partner teams.
- Schedule and lead project meetings, working sessions, status reviews, and decision forums.
- Prepare agendas, document decisions and action items, assign follow-ups, and help ensure tasks move to completion.
- Keep project governance materials current, including status reports, dashboards, RAID logs, and decision logs.
- Track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, and escalate concerns with clear context and next-step recommendations.
- Monitor workstream progress and help identify conflicts, resource constraints, and cross-functional blockers early.
- Support activities across requirements, design, configuration, data conversion, integrations, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization.
- Coordinate testing timelines, defect tracking, readiness checkpoints, and deliverable reviews.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to align responsibilities, timelines, and acceptance criteria.
- Help translate discussions into actionable tasks, owners, and due dates.
- Support change control efforts and help assess the impact of scope, schedule, or resource changes.
- Develop concise communications and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintain organized project records and promote consistent project-management practices.
Skills
- 2+ years of project management or closely related project delivery experience.
- Experience supporting complex, cross-functional technology or enterprise SaaS implementations.
- Experience coordinating internal teams, external implementation partners, and software vendors.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, dependency management, status reporting, risk management, and meeting facilitation.
- Ability to coordinate multiple functional and technical workstreams at once.
- Skill in synthesizing complex project information into clear updates, decisions, and next steps.
- Proficiency with standard project-management and collaboration tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Workday implementations, deployments, or optimization efforts.
- Familiarity with Workday project phases such as design, configuration, integrations, data conversion, testing, training, cutover, and stabilization.
- Exposure to HR, payroll, finance, or other enterprise business processes.
- Experience with Monday.com and SharePoint.
- PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar project-management certification.
