We’re seeking a Data Management Analyst to support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting for a finance application modernization and data platform migration initiative. This role offers the opportunity to work across legacy and modern data environments, helping identify variances, document root causes, and support go-live decisions through clear analysis and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and run queries to compare legacy and modern datasets and identify data variances
- Support source-to-target validation, reconciliation, and control total checks across large data platforms
- Analyze data issues, investigate root causes, and document findings clearly for business and technical teams
- Create validation summaries, exception reports, defect logs, and sign-off documentation
- Build reports and dashboards to highlight variance trends and support stakeholder decision-making
- Work closely with product, engineering, finance, business, and legacy system teams to resolve data issues
- Review mapping documents, business rules, transformation logic, and data lineage to validate requirements
- Help define tolerance thresholds and support go-live readiness for parallel operations
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience with large-scale data platforms such as BigQuery, Hadoop, or similar environments
- 3+ years of experience with ETL or data pipeline tools such as Airflow, dbt, Informatica, or similar tools
- Experience with Python or PySpark for data analysis and data processing
- Strong background in data validation, reconciliation, duplicate detection, and audit/control total checks
- Ability to interpret business requirements, mapping documents, and transformation logic
- Experience producing reconciliation reports, defect documentation, and variance summaries
- Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Experience working in agile delivery environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Looker, or LookML
- Background in retail or enterprise data environments, especially finance, supply chain, merchandising, inventory, stores, sales, digital, product, or customer domains
- Familiarity with Google Cloud data platforms, including data lake or lakehouse environments
- Exposure to SAP S/4 data structures and finance reporting
- Experience supporting KPI reconciliation, semantic layer validation, and dashboard development
- Comfort working through sprint planning, defect triage, acceptance criteria, and iterative delivery
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, independent approach
