- Build maintainable, resilient, and secure software with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and operational simplicity.
- Own services end to end, including technical design, coding, automated testing, documentation, release readiness, and production support.
- Help modernize legacy services and contribute to cloud-native architecture and service decomposition efforts.
- Define and promote API standards around resource design, versioning, error handling, security, backward compatibility, and lifecycle management.
- Work with DevOps and cloud teams to support CI/CD workflows, containerized deployments, and automated release processes.
- Implement observability practices using logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and monitoring tools.
- Partner with product, architecture, security, quality engineering, and consuming teams to deliver and validate integrations.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support production and pre-production environments, including incident response and on-call responsibilities.
- Identify technical debt and reliability risks while balancing delivery goals and long-term maintainability.

- Comfort working in Agile teams and partnering across technical and business functions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare technology, dental or medical claims, benefits, eligibility, provider, member, or payment data.
- Background modernizing SOAP or legacy services into Spring Boot REST APIs and cloud-native microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services such as AKS, API Management, managed identity, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
- Exposure to Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as Helm, Argo CD, Istio, Knative, or NGINX.
- Experience with messaging or event-driven systems such as Kafka, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of distributed caching technologies such as Redis, Coherence, or Hazelcast.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI, API governance, consumer-driven contract testing, and API-first development practices.
- Experience with performance engineering, resiliency testing, and high-volume transaction processing.
- Interest in using AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and code quality.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
