Bring your expertise in business analysis to a high-impact remote opportunity supporting a data-focused research program. In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate complex needs into clear requirements that help drive successful delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and stakeholder discussions to gather and clarify business needs.
- Convert complex requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams throughout sprint planning, backlog refinement, story development, and user acceptance testing.
- Analyze current and future workflows to identify process improvements, dependencies, and integration opportunities.
- Work through ambiguity to surface gaps, guide decisions, and keep initiatives moving forward.
- Support data mapping, data flow analysis, and quality validation efforts across connected systems.
- Contribute to systems integration discussions, including APIs, data exchanges, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
Skills
- 5+ years of business analysis experience supporting technology or data-driven initiatives.
- Strong experience gathering requirements, mapping workflows, and documenting clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Ability to serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating discovery sessions and managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Hands-on Agile delivery experience across the full lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT.
- Comfort navigating complex, ambiguous problem spaces and identifying key dependencies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare, clinical systems, research, informatics, or healthcare data environments.
- Background in data mapping, data quality validation, and complex dataset analysis.
- Familiarity with systems integration, APIs, and data exchange processes.
- Experience with process improvement, gap analysis, and workflow optimization.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, or PSM.
