JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a hands-on Sr. Power Platform Engineer to help design, build, govern, and support enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving platform maturity, and partnering with business and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise solutions across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and related Microsoft 365 services.
  • Translate business needs into technical designs that balance usability, security, scalability, maintainability, and supportability.
  • Build, enhance, and support Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps with a strong focus on user experience, performance, accessibility, and data integrity.
  • Develop and troubleshoot complex Power Automate flows, including integrations, permissions, authentication, service limits, and downstream dependencies.
  • Design Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, and solution components to support enterprise application needs.
  • Help define and improve Power Platform governance practices, including environment strategy, DLP policies, connector governance, lifecycle management, inventory, ownership, and licensing considerations.
  • Support application lifecycle management using solutions, environment variables, connection references, and controlled release practices across environments.
  • Design, administer, and support SharePoint Online solutions, including site architecture, permissions, metadata, search, external sharing, and governance.
  • Build automation and integrations using Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, PowerShell, PnP PowerShell, custom connectors, Azure Automation, and similar tools.
  • Partner with security, compliance, privacy, and architecture teams to apply least-privilege access, data protection, auditability, and retention considerations.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, documentation, runbooks, and technical enablement for peers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business partners to clarify requirements, explain tradeoffs, provide recommendations, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, or closely related cloud services.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building, troubleshooting, and supporting production Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, DLP policies, connector controls, lifecycle management, ownership, inventory, capacity, and licensing.
  • Strong experience integrating and automating Microsoft 365 services using Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, PowerShell, PnP PowerShell, custom connectors, Azure Automation, or similar tools.
  • Solid SharePoint Online engineering knowledge, including modern site architecture, information architecture, permissions, external sharing, search, and governance.
  • Working knowledge of Dataverse architecture, role-based security, solution components, and data integration patterns.
  • Experience with Power Platform ALM, including solutions, environment variables, connection references, deployment pipelines, and controlled releases.
  • Ability to troubleshoot cross-platform issues and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with incident, change, and problem management, including production support ownership and root cause analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, Power Platform Developer Associate, or related certification.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, agents, or other AI-enabled business solutions and related governance considerations.
  • Experience operating a Power Platform Center of Excellence or similar enterprise governance and enablement program.
  • Familiarity with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, app registrations, managed identities, and secure API integration patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub, including source control, testing, code review, and release management.
  • Background supporting a highly regulated enterprise with complex security, compliance, licensing, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Experience modernizing legacy SharePoint, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer workflows, or custom line-of-business solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
