JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic team supporting the reliability, security, and compliance of a critical Transmission Management System environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys partnering across operations, cybersecurity, engineering, and compliance to strengthen controls, improve processes, and help maintain a highly regulated utility environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations within the Transmission Management System environment.
  • Maintain and improve compliance documentation, including policies, plans, procedures, and evidence repositories.
  • Monitor adherence to applicable NERC CIP, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Identify process gaps, assess risks, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency and readiness.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to review, plan, and implement changes in a secure and compliant manner.
  • Assist with vulnerability management, patch coordination, and configuration baseline monitoring.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, program stakeholders, and business partners to support clear communication and alignment.
  • Help ensure security and compliance controls remain effective and aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by organizing evidence and providing compliance-related documentation.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in regulated operational technology, transmission operations, cybersecurity, compliance, or a related utility environment.
  • Working knowledge of NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection standards and their use in electric utility settings.
  • Experience creating and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, plans, and other compliance materials.
  • Understanding of Transmission Management Systems, Energy Management Systems, operational technology, or other critical infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with core cybersecurity practices such as access management, vulnerability management, patch management, and configuration management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, compliance issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation, tracking, and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional work across operations, security, compliance, and leadership teams.
  • Background supporting change management processes in a secure and regulated environment.
  • Exposure to audit preparation, evidence collection, and issue remediation activities.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication.
  • Experience contributing to operational improvements that reduce risk and improve standardization.
