Bring your AV support skills to a fast-paced corporate environment where you’ll help keep meeting spaces, collaboration tools, and live events running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site AV support resource for conference rooms and event spaces in the San Francisco office.
- Perform daily system checks and preventive maintenance on meeting room technology, including Google Meet hardware, displays, and integrated audio systems.
- Respond quickly to user-facing AV issues and provide clear, patient support to employees and guests.
- Assist with room setup, equipment staging, and live event support for meetings, all-hands gatherings, and special events.
- Support live production tasks under guidance, including audio mixing and video switching as needed.
- Maintain cable organization, equipment readiness, spare parts, RMAs, and inventory records.
- Track support requests in a ticketing system and document issues, resolutions, room notes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Escalate complex issues with clear notes, sound troubleshooting practices, and professional communication.
- Contribute to process improvement and knowledge-sharing through documentation and cross-training.
Skills
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in AV support, IT help desk, live event production, or a related technical support role.
- Basic understanding of AV signal flow, including audio, video, and control systems.
- Working knowledge of EDID, common cable types such as HDMI and USB-C, and CAT6 connectivity.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts as they apply to AV environments.
- Experience supporting Google Workspace, Google Meet hardware, or ChromeOS devices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and approachable way.
- Calm, adaptable, and customer-focused approach to troubleshooting and support.
- Ability to follow established processes, stay organized, and document work accurately.
Preferred Skills
- Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS, Dante Certification, or ITIL.
- Relevant technical coursework or formal AV training.
- Exposure to enterprise conference room environments or corporate event production.
- Interest in building a long-term career in AV and workplace technology.
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment and learning from senior team members.
