Join a dynamic cloud engineering team supporting a large-scale AWS initiative with a focus on administration, best practices, and hands-on technical guidance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building reliable cloud environments, mentoring teams, and improving operational efficiency across AWS, Linux, Windows, and database technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration and ongoing improvement of an AWS sandbox environment
- Help define and document best practices for sizing, configuration, tagging, scripting, monitoring, and security
- Partner with service management team members to train and guide them on AWS cloud operations
- Provide technical insight to help standardize cloud environment setup and support procedures
- Assist application developers with best practices for using Amazon development tools
- Contribute to documentation that supports repeatable processes and operational consistency
- Work across Linux and Windows environments to support cloud-related needs
- Use basic SQL knowledge to support database-related tasks and troubleshooting
Skills
- Strong experience with AWS operations
- Hands-on background in AWS application development
- Experience with AWS scripting and monitoring tools
- Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to team members and developers
- Strong documentation and process-building skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting cloud initiatives in a service management or support setting
- Familiarity with best practices for cloud administration and environment governance
- Experience training or mentoring technical teams
- Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-moving technical environment
- Ability to contribute to operational improvements and standardization efforts
