Join a dynamic accounting leadership opportunity focused on building scalable, end-to-end B2B accounting operations across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes. This onsite hybrid role in San Francisco offers the chance to partner closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Revenue Accounting, and cross-functional teams to drive automation, improve controls, and support new business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Revenue Accounting to support accurate and timely revenue recognition aligned with applicable accounting standards.
  • Work closely with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to support deal structuring, commercial arrangements, and new business models.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support SOX compliance, control testing, and audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement record-to-report requirements that support month-end close and clean financial reporting.
  • Help define procure-to-pay needs for vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment execution.
  • Drive efforts to streamline and automate payment and accounting workflows, reducing manual effort and cycle times.
  • Support new product launches, partnerships, business expansion, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for process automation using ERP functionality, RPA, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Collaborate with Product and technology partners to prioritize process enhancements and build scalable solutions.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor accounting operations and support continuous improvement.

Skills

  • 6–10+ years of progressive accounting or sales operations experience, including at least 2 years in a senior management or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes within a B2B or enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting new business initiatives, complex commercial arrangements, and evolving operational workflows.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting controls.
  • Experience with large-scale systems such as Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Ads, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain complex accounting concepts clearly.
  • MBA or CPA required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting public company growth, M&A integration, or major business model transitions.
  • Familiarity with SOX 404 compliance and internal controls in a public company environment.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP, billing, or CRM platforms.
  • Exposure to international accounting operations and multi-currency environments.
  • Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization skills such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Workato, Celonis, or UiPath.
  • Experience in technology, marketplace, or mobility-related industries.
