Join a long-term specialized consulting opportunity focused on supporting enterprise technology operations in a remote environment. Responsibilities
- Support and improve day-to-day technology operations across operating systems, server hardware, networking, middleware, cloud, automation, and database environments
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and create automation solutions that reduce toil and improve efficiency
- Participate in incident management activities, including triage, response, escalation, and resolution efforts
- Contribute to on-call support by helping restore services quickly and communicating effectively during incidents
- Track events, changes, problems, incidents, and requests through established processes and guidelines
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align scope, and support successful delivery of business needs
- Investigate complex production issues, document root causes, and help implement corrective actions
- Collaborate on reliability, scalability, and maintainability improvements using SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering practices
- Apply security best practices and help maintain compliance with operational and technical standards
- Communicate progress, risks, and status updates clearly to stakeholders and leadership throughout design, build, and testing phases
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 6–9+ years of relevant work experience in a technical operations, infrastructure, or systems-focused role
- Strong understanding of UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Experience with server hardware, firewalls, network routing, switches, and load balancers
- Knowledge of middleware, file transfer, messaging, and database technologies
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and automation tooling
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor updates for different audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within Agile teams using SAFe practices
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
- Background in improving system reliability, scalability, and operational resilience
- Hands-on experience with incident response and post-incident analysis
- Ability to help drive process improvements and reduce operational burden through practical solutions
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders
