Are you a skilled Business Analyst who enjoys turning complex operational needs into clear, actionable solutions? This contract role supports data center projects and operations, with a focus on requirements gathering, documentation, project coordination, reporting, and resiliency planning in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, technical, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate stakeholder needs into functional and technical deliverables that support project execution.
- Create and maintain project documentation, process flows, release plans, and operating procedures.
- Support project planning activities, including scope, scheduling, status updates, and coordination.
- Build and manage JIRA stories, tasks, and action items to help drive work forward.
- Maintain organized documentation using Confluence and Microsoft Office tools.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking to support business and operational decision-making.
- Review current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and execution.
- Support Data Center Infrastructure Management reporting and related operational analysis.
- Assist with financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting for assigned projects.
- Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and Black Start readiness efforts, including dependency mapping and tabletop exercises.
- Prepare meeting notes, track follow-up items, and coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Travel to data center facilities as needed.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting data center, infrastructure, or technology-related projects.
- Experience gathering requirements and converting them into clear technical and functional outputs.
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to create organized documentation and communicate complex information clearly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools.
- Background supporting disaster recovery, operational resilience, or Black Start initiatives.
- Familiarity with critical data center infrastructure such as power, cooling, and capacity management.
- Experience supporting process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative environment.
