Join our innovative team as an Embedded Software Engineer and play a vital role in advancing autonomous safety-critical systems. In this dynamic position, you'll develop cutting-edge embedded software and tooling for automated test infrastructure, supporting the future of autonomous technology. Your expertise will enable cross-functional collaboration to create sensor emulators, test frameworks, and hardware/software integrations that ensure product reliability and performance in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- 4+ years of industry experience in embedded software development
- Strong proficiency in C++, with a focus on low-latency, high-performance applications in user and kernel space
- Extensive experience with Linux development, including networking and system-level programming
- Proficiency in Python scripting, automation, and testing frameworks such as Pytest
- Experience with Git, build systems like Bazel, and unit testing (e.g., GTest)
- Hands-on experience building hardware/software integration test frameworks using interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CAN
Nice to Have Skills:
- Linux kernel development and device driver implementation for embedded systems
- Experience with ARM cores using Xilinx SDK and MPSoC platforms
- Familiarity with Yocto or Petalinux, FPGA development, SystemVerilog, and HDL verification
- Knowledge of high-speed protocols (PCIe, MIPI CSI-2), PTP/IEEE 1588, and Automotive Ethernet
- Ability to read and analyze electronic schematics, PCB design, and manufacturing workflows
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant technical fields
- 4 or more years of pertinent industry experience specializing in embedded systems, Linux development, or hardware/software integration
Other Requirements:
- Must complete a background check and drug screening upon offer acceptance
- Onsite presence required in Foster City, CA, with a 5-day in-office workweek
