Applications Support Engineer

What You’ll Do:

• Install, upgrade, and maintain engineering applications on Linux environments.
• Automate database refreshes and configure reverse proxies, load balancers, and filestore syncing for optimal performance.
• Develop and support software integrations using Web Services, XML, and related tools, with Java experience being a bonus.
• Troubleshoot system incidents, perform diagnostics, and provide impactful end-user support.
• Collaborate across teams to plan projects, improve processes, and ensure smooth system operations.
• Support licensing management and contribute to testing procedures for upgrades and new deployments.
• Share your knowledge through training and mentorship, fostering growth within the team.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in supporting engineering applications, with strong background in AWS, VMWare, Linux, and scripting.
• Proven ability to perform system installation, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with middleware like Mulesoft, CI/CD pipelines, and database management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of working independently or within teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with PLM tools.
• Knowledge of Java programming.
• Ability to gather and interpret technical requirements to develop effective solutions.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in engineering support or related roles.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work onsite in Foster City, CA (4 days a week).
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
