We’re seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to help build and maintain a robust AWS environment that supports the future of autonomous transportation. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of supporting and optimizing our cloud platform, working alongside a diverse team of engineers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform—writing, modifying, and maintaining modules.
• Solid understanding of AWS networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups).
• Strong knowledge of IAM principles, cloud security best practices, and secrets management.
• Experience working from tickets, playbooks, and documented processes with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Terraform Cloud, Spacelift, or other centralized IaC solutions.
• Exposure to multi-account AWS architectures, such as Landing Zones or Control Tower.
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/EKS.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana or CloudWatch.
• Past involvement with AI/ML or high-performance computing (HPC) workloads in the cloud.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience working in cloud engineering, preferably within innovative, fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record of supporting secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructures.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work at least 3 days in office at our Foster City, CA location.
• Candidates must complete a background check and drug screening upon offer acceptance.
