Join a team building modern cloud-based applications that support critical financial operations in a highly collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver scalable Python services, shape AWS infrastructure, and contribute to solutions that emphasize quality, reliability, and strong engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based microservices and cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK
- Design and support business workflows with AWS Step Functions
- Build containerized applications with RESTful APIs
- Implement logging, monitoring, and audit trails using tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Participate in code reviews with a focus on maintainability, performance, and best practices
- Write and improve unit and integration tests, and support code remediation efforts
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical documentation
- Partner with stakeholders to turn business needs into effective technical solutions
Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong production experience with Python and modern development frameworks
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and error handling
- Proficiency with Git workflows, branching strategies, and merge request reviews
- Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Terraform in addition to AWS CDK
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Angular or React with TypeScript
- Exposure to AWS services like SNS/SQS, Athena, Glue, and load balancers
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for code review, documentation, debugging, and test development
- Ability to evaluate and refine AI-generated code thoughtfully
- Background in building solutions for regulated or highly secure environments
