Join a dynamic marketing operations team in a contract Engagement Manager role focused on driving financial discipline, scope clarity, and strong agency partnerships across a variety of brand and marketing initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, support high-impact projects, and help ensure every engagement is managed with transparency, precision, and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and external agency teams to support effective project and budget management
- Develop, review, and negotiate scopes of work, retainers, and contract terms for marketing-related projects
- Apply established team strategies and best practices to agency budgeting and fee negotiations
- Monitor agency performance against scope and financial commitments, addressing gaps or changes as needed
- Proactively manage scope changes, resource alignment, and delivery expectations to help avoid overruns
- Support work across Brand and Category Marketing, Social, Experiential, Store Experience Marketing, and Packaging/Brand Development
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or similar tools to organize, present, and track information effectively
Skills
- Experience negotiating contracts, scopes of work, retainers, and pricing models
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage complex budgets and forecasts
- Understanding of agency capabilities, staffing models, and fee structures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to stay organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable productivity tools
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting large-scale marketing or brand initiatives
- Background working with cross-functional teams in a corporate or agency environment
- Ability to build trust and maintain strong partner relationships
- Comfort working through evolving priorities while maintaining financial and scope discipline
