We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Agile Program Management to help lead large-scale Agile delivery in a hybrid Boston-based environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned Agile leader who enjoys enabling teams, improving delivery flow, and driving alignment across complex programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile Release Trains to support successful delivery across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Facilitate Program Increment planning and help ensure strong alignment among stakeholders.
- Identify, manage, and help resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and delivery blockers.
- Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and delivery teams on Agile and SAFe practices.
- Track Agile performance metrics to improve predictability, flow, and execution efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and encourage adoption of an Agile mindset.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to align delivery with strategic priorities.
- Contribute to Lean Portfolio Management and value stream optimization efforts.
- Use Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps to manage program execution and reporting.
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Agile program management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Release Train Engineer or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Agile practices.
- Proven experience leading Agile Release Trains and facilitating PI planning.
- Ability to manage dependencies, risks, and impediments in a complex enterprise setting.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort working with senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps.
Preferred Skills
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), or a similar Agile certification.
- Experience with Lean Portfolio Management and Agile funding models.
- Background in enterprise Agile transformation or scaling Agile frameworks.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile engineering practices.
