We’re looking for a Freelance Senior Project Manager to lead complex, digital and web initiatives from kickoff through final delivery in an agency enviornment for a pharmaceutical client. • Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, scopes, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans to keep work moving smoothly.
  • Facilitate collaboration across Account, Creative, Strategy, Production, and other teams to ensure clear alignment and next steps.
  • Manage project documentation, estimates, status updates, change orders, and budget reconciliation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, flag risks and dependencies early, and help drive solutions that protect timelines and deliverables.
  • Lead meetings such as kickoffs, status check-ins, reviews, and working sessions with internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee routing and review workflows so deliverables are assigned, feedback is consolidated, approvals are secured, and final assets are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Partner with finance and leadership on budget tracking, burn reporting, revenue reconciliation, staffing alignment, and overall project health.
  • Support and mentor project team members, including Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Coordinators when needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and help uphold consistent agency standards across projects.

Skills

  • Experience managing complex, multi-channel projects and large-scale initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong background in project planning, facilitation, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence leading client-facing conversations.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Workfront, Smartsheet, Hive, Microsoft Project, or SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to work independently while staying highly collaborative and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting an AOR Pharma launch.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles, digital production, creative workflows, and web technologies.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certification.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other project management team members.
  • Comfort contributing to operational improvements and process optimization efforts.
