We’re seeking an experienced Industry Relations Specialist to support a fast-moving team focused on creative innovation, sustainability, media production, and partner engagement. This onsite Los Angeles opportunity is ideal for a communications professional who can balance strategy, execution, and cross-functional coordination across global stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support engagement strategy and day-to-day execution for industry relations and partnership initiatives across multiple workstreams
- Help develop and deliver messaging for global programs, vendor promotions, and technology partner initiatives
- Coordinate editorial planning, asset creation, strategy input, and rollout activities for content-driven work
- Partner with internal teams across communications, legal, policy, content operations, and title groups to align on narratives and approvals
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organization, attention to detail, and timely follow-through
- Help maintain brand consistency and appropriate intellectual property usage across co-promotional activities
- Assist with relationship-building and communications support for external vendors, technology partners, and industry groups
- Contribute to event and awards-related efforts that strengthen visibility and industry presence
Skills
- At least 5 years of communications experience in entertainment technology, production, post-production, or VFX
- Strong understanding of the production/post/VFX ecosystem and how communications strategy applies within it
- Ability to think strategically and translate goals into clear external-facing messaging
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor tone for different audiences
- Proven project coordination skills and the ability to manage several workstreams at once
- Working knowledge of IP licensing as it relates to branding and content
- Comfort collaborating with global stakeholders across different functions and regions
- High attention to detail and strong organizational follow-through
Preferred Skills
- Editorial or content production experience, including asset development through launch
- Familiarity with industry organizations such as VES, ASWF, or guilds
- Interest in sustainability-related topics
- Experience working in fast-paced, agency-style environments with frequent context switching
- Experience supporting media relations or speaking opportunity development
- Comfort using tools such as Airtable, Claude, or similar workflow and tracking platforms
- Experience working across regional markets with sensitivity to cultural and audience differences
