We’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help drive automation and quality across modern web and API-based applications. This role offers the opportunity to design scalable test solutions, strengthen release confidence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Core Java, Selenium, and related tools.
- Create and execute automated API test coverage for RESTful services using Rest Assured.
- Build and support functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation suites.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and product owners to define test strategies and review requirements.
- Execute test plans, review results, identify defects, and help drive issues through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster delivery.
- Perform backend and database validation using SQL queries.
- Participate in sprint planning, story refinement, defect triage, and release readiness activities.
- Share knowledge, mentor team members, and promote automation best practices.
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on programming experience in Core Java, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, and design patterns.
- Practical experience automating APIs with Rest Assured.
- Deep knowledge of Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or AWS/Azure environments.
- Comfort working in Agile/Scrum teams.
