Responsibilities

  • Lead interviews and workshops with stakeholders to identify essential business functions, dependencies, and risk exposure.
  • Map workflows, technical dependencies, and key control points across the organization.
  • Assess disruption scenarios from system outages, supply chain issues, and security incidents, then determine potential operational, financial, legal, and reputational impact.
  • Build and maintain integrated risk matrices and impact frameworks that support both continuity and security planning.
  • Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns and connect findings to business impact scenarios.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and countermeasures using recognized frameworks and standards.
  • Review system and cloud configurations against security baseline and hardening expectations.
  • Support recovery planning by helping define RTO and RPO targets and sequencing recovery steps with security validation in mind.
  • Assist with audits, evidence collection, and documentation of controls, procedures, and business impact profiles.
  • Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and cross-functional teams.

Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of combined experience in business continuity, risk management, and/or information security.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting business impact analyses.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, common threats, and mitigation approaches.
  • Working knowledge of security incident response and investigation practices.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify dependencies, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Familiarity with business continuity frameworks, risk assessment methods, and supply chain dependency analysis.
  • Comfort working with network concepts, system architecture, and security technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business, IT, cybersecurity, risk management, or data science.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enterprise continuity software such as ServiceNow BCM or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, advanced spreadsheets, and data collection tools.
  • Exposure to firewall, IDS/IPS, and network security tools.
  • Cloud security experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience supporting security or continuity audits in regulated environments such as finance, healthcare, or government.
  • Professional certifications such as CBCP, CBCI, MBCI, CISSP, GSEC, CISM, or cloud security credentials.
  • Prior consulting or contractor experience.
  • Master’s degree or additional relevant certifications.
