Join a high-visibility enterprise content platform operations initiative focused on improving reliability, scalability, security, and day-to-day support for a complex digital ecosystem. This remote Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer role offers the opportunity to help modernize cloud operations, automate infrastructure, and strengthen production environments across Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure.
- Support highly available production environments for digital platforms, APIs, and web applications.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Help support and improve Kubernetes and container-based environments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
- Manage IAM, service accounts, secrets, certificates, keys, and related access controls.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and tooling.
- Partner with DevOps and application teams to improve deployment reliability and environment consistency.
- Assist with production incidents, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and overall operational visibility.
- Create documentation, runbooks, infrastructure standards, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy processes using cloud-native approaches.
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
- Hands-on experience with GCP and/or Azure; exposure to both is preferred.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, including DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls, and connectivity.
- Experience managing IAM, service accounts, secrets, certificates, keys, and credential access.
- Experience supporting production environments with high availability and reliability requirements.
- Strong monitoring, logging, and observability skills.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.
- Ability to reduce manual work through automation and process improvement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting enterprise CMS or digital experience platforms such as AEM or Sitecore.
- Background in CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with APIs and modern web applications.
- Experience modernizing legacy environments into cloud-native architectures.
- Understanding of SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and toil reduction.
