This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Java Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, partnering closely with product teams, and delivering scalable solutions with a strong focus on quality and security.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure Java-based web and backend applications that support important business needs
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to create maintainable, scalable solutions with limited supervision
- Produce clear design documentation and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle
- Write clean, testable code and perform thorough unit, integration, and functional testing
- Apply secure coding practices and help strengthen application security across solutions
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues through debugging, investigation, and research
- Build and support messaging and integration components using enterprise middleware technologies
- Contribute to performance tuning efforts for SQL and Oracle database environments
- Help drive best practices and support the adoption of modern engineering approaches
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java
- Experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework and Spring Security
- Front-end development experience with Angular
- Solid SQL and Oracle database skills
- Experience with database performance tuning
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security
- Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing
- Deep understanding of JMS and messaging middleware, with IBM MQ preferred
- Hands-on experience with Spring JMS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience building and supporting REST APIs and working with JSON
- Advanced experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with Spring Batch
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud technologies
- Background in enterprise application development within a collaborative environment
