We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help build and support scalable enterprise data pipelines and transformations in a modern cloud environment. This hybrid role in Boston offers the chance to work on impactful data solutions using tools like Python, SQL, dbt, Snowflake, and AWS Airflow.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows that support enterprise data needs
- Build efficient ETL and data integration solutions for large-scale data processing
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products
- Support data platform performance, stability, and high availability through monitoring and troubleshooting
- Apply data governance, security, and compliance best practices across solutions
- Contribute to cloud-based data initiatives and modern data engineering practices
- Use orchestration and automation tools to streamline data operations and improve workflow efficiency
- Stay current with emerging trends and help identify opportunities for innovation in the data ecosystem
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- Background in data engineering, data platforms, or a related field
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modeling solutions
- Knowledge of Snowflake and cloud data environments
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as AWS Airflow
- Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dbt
- Exposure to AI in data environments
- Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop
- Knowledge of streaming or real-time data processing
- Understanding of DevOps practices as they apply to data engineering
- Certification in a cloud data platform or related specialty
