JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic security team supporting enterprise information protection in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to help shape security controls, strengthen compliance programs, and support critical initiatives that protect systems, data, and business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of information security risks and help implement safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, change, loss, or disruption.
  • Partner with business, technical, audit, risk, and security stakeholders to identify security needs and help drive practical solutions.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and documentation of security plans, processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Assist with security project planning, coordination, progress tracking, and cost estimation for assigned initiatives.
  • Help evaluate, select, configure, and support security-related tools, hardware, and software in coordination with IT teams.
  • Support security awareness efforts and help communicate security expectations across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Assist with reviewing security controls, monitoring logs, and identifying potential security events or control gaps.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of system security plans and related compliance documentation.
  • Help support business continuity and disaster recovery-related security processes and documentation.
  • Research security requirements and translate regulatory or compliance needs into clear, actionable guidance for internal partners.

Skills

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in information security, IT security, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53 controls and compliance expectations.
  • Experience with U.S. government security compliance requirements, including CMMC.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs).
  • Ability to interpret security regulations, control frameworks, and compliance documentation accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Experience with policy and procedure development, control testing, and audit support.
  • Solid project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling security-related issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience and training.
  • Experience in the airline industry or another complex, regulated environment.
  • Exposure to business planning, systems analysis, or application development.
  • Background in data administration, security methods, or database design techniques.
  • Familiarity with multi-platform environments and IT auditing practices.
  • Experience supporting awareness training or presenting security status updates to leadership.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Comfort working in a structured environment with changing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
