JOB DESCRIPTION

Step into a senior-level Business Analyst role supporting a high-impact environment where strong communication, agile collaboration, and structured problem-solving are essential. This onsite opportunity in the greater Washington, D.C. area offers the chance to contribute to meaningful work across business analysis, project coordination, and Scrum support.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clarify, and document business and user requirements for technical initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support project delivery
  • Lead or facilitate Agile ceremonies and contribute to Scrum team effectiveness
  • Create and maintain project and system documentation, including process flows, user stories, and use cases
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
  • Support project management activities using established methodologies and tools
  • Work with teams to track progress, manage documentation, and support delivery timelines
  • Use collaboration tools and office applications to communicate updates and maintain records

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, Scrum, or a related senior-level role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting business processes
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum team practices
  • Ability to support both Agile and traditional project management approaches
  • Familiarity with SQL and basic database concepts
  • Experience using requirements management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Comfort using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools
  • Ability to maintain clear, organized project documentation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to work onsite within a 50-mile radius of the Board offices in the greater DC metro area

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting cloud-related development efforts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power BI and Power Automate
  • Experience with version control or documentation management tools such as Git or SharePoint
  • Background in stakeholder management techniques and tools
  • Background in business process improvement or complex technical environments
