Join a dynamic team as a Data Engineer supporting product quality and release analytics through impactful dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting solutions. This onsite role in Foster City, CA offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to turn complex release and quality data into clear, actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and scorecards that track release and quality metrics
- Query, aggregate, and transform release and version data using SQL and Python
- Develop ETL pipelines that streamline quality and release data from multiple sources and components
- Model release- and version-based data to support trend analysis over time
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights that inform quality decisions
- Partner with PSQA and cross-functional teams to translate reporting needs into effective dashboards
- Take ownership of assigned data deliverables and drive issues through resolution independently
- Document data models, pipeline logic, and dashboard definitions to support long-term maintainability
Skills
- Strong SQL skills for querying, aggregation, and data modeling
- Proficiency in Python, including Pandas or PySpark for ETL and data transformation
- Experience building dashboards using BI tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI
- Ability to model release/version-based data for longitudinal tracking and analysis
- Basic data science skills, including statistics and exploratory data analysis
- Experience working in notebook-based analysis environments
- Familiarity with AWS fundamentals, including S3 and Athena or Redshift
- Version control experience using Git
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data pipeline scheduling tools such as Airflow
- Practical use of AI productivity tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT
- Prior exposure to QA, release management, or software quality metrics
