Responsibilities

  • Support incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up using a safety or incident tracking system
  • Help coordinate investigations by gathering facts, building timelines, and supporting root-cause and corrective-action development
  • Work with operations and EHS partners to assign, track, and close out safety-related action items
  • Monitor open actions, identify blockers or aging items, and escalate as needed to keep work moving
  • Assist with pre-shift safety briefs and ongoing communication around safety priorities
  • Conduct behavioral safety audits, provide real-time coaching, and address at-risk behaviors on the floor
  • Support contractor onboarding activities, including oversight of expectations, competency checks, and follow-up monitoring
  • Help coordinate PSRM checklist completion before production start
  • Maintain strong floor presence to reinforce SOP adherence, housekeeping standards, and safe PIT practices
  • Partner across operations, EHS, facilities, maintenance, engineering, and learning teams to remove barriers and support safe execution
  • Provide clear updates on open items, trends, risks, and closure progress to leadership

Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, safety, EHS support, industrial hygiene, program management, or a related field
  • Experience with incident investigation, corrective-action tracking, and safety process follow-through
  • Comfort working on a production floor and coaching safe behaviors in real time
  • Strong documentation, organization, and task-management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication across multiple teams
  • Working knowledge of behavioral-based safety practices and contractor safety coordination
  • Understanding of PIT operations and housekeeping/SOP standards
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and stay focused on closure and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience in a production leadership or operational safety coordination role

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AUSTIN or a similar incident or safety management system
  • Background supporting pre-production safety reviews and checklist execution
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments with multiple priorities
  • Ability to identify trends and share practical recommendations to improve safety performance
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
