Join a dynamic software engineering team supporting the design, development, and optimization of modern applications, databases, automation tools, and DevOps solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful technology initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to secure, scalable solutions in a hybrid environment based in Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, and improve software solutions that support applications, databases, automation tools, and DevOps practices
- Develop and maintain technical solutions using strong programming and engineering best practices
- Partner with business and technical teams to translate requirements into effective solutions
- Participate in peer reviews and apply consistent software development standards
- Support applications and environments through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident resolution, and service request handling
- Contribute ideas, share knowledge, and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members
- Help ensure secure front-end application practices, including appropriate use of tokens, headers, and policy controls
- Collaborate on continuous improvement efforts across the software development lifecycle and CI/CD processes
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or a closely related technical field
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+ and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, and Spring Security
- Proficiency in at least two general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Angular, or JSF
- Experience working with software development lifecycle practices, CI/CD, DevOps, and data modeling
- Ability to analyze requirements and deliver practical, well-structured technical solutions
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and self-management skills
- Comfort working in a role that includes on-call support and production troubleshooting
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Angular, NgRx, and RxJS
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- Exposure to WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, or MQ
- Background working with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab
- Experience coaching others and serving as a trusted technical resource
