Join a dynamic security team focused on protecting critical information assets through proactive design, implementation, and support of enterprise security solutions. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen defenses, respond to incidents, and help shape secure practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and support security tools and systems that help safeguard information and infrastructure.
- Monitor the security environment and help develop measures to protect against unauthorized access, misuse, or data loss.
- Investigate security incidents, support forensic analysis, and assist with response and recovery efforts.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption tools, and other protective technologies.
- Create and automate scripts to track incidents and improve security operations workflows.
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk assessments, and security reviews to identify and reduce exposure.
- Collaborate with technical teams on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
- Document test results and findings in technical reports and formal write-ups.
- Support access management by reviewing improper access, recommending improvements, and helping enforce controls.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning, backup procedures, and broader security awareness efforts.
- Evaluate new security technologies and recommend practical enhancements to strengthen the overall security posture.
- Partner with stakeholders across technical and business teams to communicate risks, updates, and mitigation strategies.
Skills
- 6+ years of experience in security engineering, security analysis, or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection, access controls, and encryption.
- Experience with vulnerability testing, risk analysis, and security assessments.
- Ability to investigate incidents and support response, recovery, and forensic activities.
- Hands-on experience creating automation scripts to support incident tracking or security operations.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and communicate effectively across the organization.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting network disaster recovery planning and backup strategies.
- Familiarity with physical security controls, policy development, and access governance.
- Knowledge of current security technologies and industry best practices.
- Experience helping train others on security procedures and awareness.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and changing needs.
