Join a high-impact program management team supporting the delivery of critical vehicle and hardware components for a major defense program. This onsite Project Manager role in Temple, TX offers the opportunity to lead cross-functional efforts, manage schedules and budgets, and help drive successful on-time delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day program activities supporting vehicle and hardware deliveries
- Coordinate work across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, contracts, finance, and other functions
- Manage program schedules that combine multiple projects and contract deliverables
- Track the flow of vehicles and hardware into the facility to support on-time delivery commitments
- Monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance against program objectives
- Identify risks and opportunities, then develop and execute practical mitigation plans
- Prepare and present status updates for internal leadership, program reviews, and customer discussions
- Support resource planning, project planning, and budget oversight
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of project management experience
- Experience developing and maintaining schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Background in planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to present project status clearly to leadership and stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented approach with strong follow-through
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-moving environment
Preferred Skills
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Master’s degree with 7 years of experience
- Project management certification such as PMP or PgMP
- Experience with earned value management
- Experience in military, defense, or government-related environments
- Familiarity with managing high-volume supply chain operations
