Join our team as a Test Data Management Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting testing teams by managing and automating test data processes. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that offers a dynamic work environment and the chance to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill data mining requests to identify and validate test data for project teams.
- Create, provision, and maintain test data across various environments.
- Develop automated solutions to enhance test data setup and reuse.
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data analysis and issue resolution.
- Conduct API testing and validate services related to test data.
- Collaborate with testers, developers, and stakeholders to meet data needs.
- Analyze and resolve data issues affecting project timelines.
- Document processes and best practices for test data management.
Skills
- Proven experience in supporting test data needs for QA teams.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and troubleshooting.
- Experience with databases like Oracle, DB2, Postgres, and SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Ability to manage data requests across multiple test environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with mainframe applications and data structures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation frameworks for test data creation and validation.
- Knowledge of industry-standard Test Data Management tools.
- Background in regulated or large enterprise environments with complex data dependencies.
- Understanding of data masking, virtualization, and synthetic data creation.
- Experience with Unix/Linux command-line operations and Docker environments.
