We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Quality Engineer (Financial Specialist) to join our dynamic team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance data quality and observability across operational systems and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated data quality and observability monitors.
- Configure monitoring for data freshness, volume, and schema changes.
- Investigate data quality alerts and perform root cause analysis.
- Partner with analytics and engineering teams to remediate data issues.
- Apply data observability to AI and ML pipelines, monitoring training and inference data.
- Triage and resolve data quality incidents using defined workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and Business Data Stewards to align technical controls with data quality standards.
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data quality roles.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in managing large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with data observability platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Experience working in regulated environments, particularly with financial data.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting data quality for AI/ML or advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with data lineage and governance platforms.
- Exposure to CI/CD or automated testing patterns for data pipelines.
