Join our team as a Senior Systems Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing a Linux-based high-performance computing environment. This position is crucial for supporting statistical analysis and economic research across various business lines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain Linux-based high-performance computing servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Provide advanced support for the analytics platform, resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate analytical needs into technical solutions.
- Document system configurations and troubleshooting procedures for knowledge sharing.
- Implement security protocols and conduct regular audits to safeguard sensitive data.
- Participate in projects to enhance platform capabilities and contribute to system design.
- Be part of an on-call rotation to support critical issues outside regular hours.
Skills
- Proficient in Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and system administration tools.
- Experienced with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high-performance computing technologies like SLURM and OpenOnDemand.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, MatLab, Stata, and SAS.
