Join us as an Analyst in Cyber & Information Security Risk for a 12-month contract at our Denver location. This role is instrumental in shaping and maintaining cybersecurity strategies to safeguard information systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with tech teams to pinpoint cybersecurity risks in current and upcoming projects
- Conduct assessments of third-party security measures, ensuring they meet or exceed pre-defined standards
- Create risk profiles for vendor and business services using industry best practices
- Advise on and communicate strategies to mitigate cybersecurity risks effectively
- Guide project stakeholders on compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication within the risk management platform
- Report engagement statuses to security management and other stakeholders
- Assist in enforcing security policies and procedures; evaluate exceptions requests
- Research and advocate for new technologies to support enterprise security requirements
Skills
- Over 3 years’ experience in cybersecurity risk management or IT security
- In-depth understanding of industry frameworks and regulatory standards such as ISO and NIST
- Strong ability to balance business needs with cybersecurity best practices
- Skilled in influencing outcomes through negotiation and persuasion
- Excellent communication skills across diverse roles and levels of professionalism
- Proactive approach and ability to work independently on assignments
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field
- Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA highly desirable
- Knowledge of auditing methodologies and privacy laws beneficial
